Chapter 7b, the Cyclops jumping up when a red-hot stake is thrust into his eye:
(shrieks)
Now imagine you're watching the story as a film on TV when there's a powercut. Because you already know the story, you can tell the others what is going to happen next. In Greek of course. Supply the correct Greek future forms
ἆρ' ὁ Ὀδυσσεὺς καὶ οἱ ἑταῖροι ἐκ τοῦ ἄντρου φεύξονται;
πῶς;
will give τῷ Κύκλωπι οἶνον πίνειν, ὁ δὲ Κύκλωψ will drink πὰρα πολὺ καὶ will get drunk. εἰς ὕπνον will fall. ἐν ᾧ δε will sleep ὁ Κύκλωψ, ὁ Ὀδυσσεὺς ῥόπαλον (μοχλὸν) will find καὶ will order τοὺς ἑταίρους θερμαίνειν αὐτὸ (αὐτὸν) ἐν τῷ πυρί. ἐπεὶ μέλλει about to catch fire τὸ ῥόπαλον (ὁ μοχλὸς), ὁ Ὀδυσσεὺς will lift αὐτὁ(ν) ἐκ τοῦ πυρὸς καὶ will drive [it] εἰς τὸν ἕνα ὀφθαλμὸν τοῦ πελωρίου. ὁ δὲ will jump up καὶ δεινῶς will shriek. ὁ δε κύκλωψ οὐ will not see αὐτοὺς, τυφλὸς γὰρ will be.
