Translation

And his parents, hearing the shouts, hurry up to their child and see him lying on the ground. So they lift him up but he still remains motionless. And Melitta says: "Zeus, what is the matter with the poor boy?*" And their mother says: "Carry him to the spring." So they carry him to the spring and they pour the [spring] water over his head. And so he soon begins to move and breathes again. He lifts himself up [off the ground] and hears his mother talking. And looking toward her he says: "Where are you, mother? Why is there darkness?" And his mother says: "But is is not dark, my child. Look this way." But the boy sees nothing: for he is blind.
