Translation

And the next day the barbarians, attacking again, achieved nothing better than the day before. So, as Xerxes was at a loss, a man of the Greeks, called Ephialtes, approached him and told him [of] the path leading across the mountains to Thermopylae. After learning this, Xerxes sent out his Immortals by this [path], telling them to take the Greeks from behind. And when the Greeks learnt what was going on, they were at first at a loss as to what to do, finally Leonidas decided to send the others away to Attica, while he himself remained at Thermopylae with 300 Spartans, intending to guard the gates.
