3rd Paragraph

Translation

And in this manner the Greeks began to attack the Persian army and clashing [with the enemy] in the straits they fought few against many. And the barbarians, despite having very many ships, could not use all of their ships all at once. And the Greeks either damaged or sank the first ships of the Persians, attacking with such eagerness that the very frightened barbarians turned and tried to escape. And then din and confusion reigned supreme. For the ships of the barbarians fell upon each other, some trying to escape from the battle, others advancing into combat. But in the end all the barbarians were fleeing in disorder and the Greeks pursued them and sank a great many ships indeed; and everywhere there were shipwrecks, and corpses everywhere, so that it was no longer possible to see the sea. And thus they kept fighting till night fell.
