Another little exercise for revision

  1. We meet Dikaiopolis. What do we do? (we're very pleased [to meet the famous man], we greet him [of course]
  2. ὁ βίος χαλεπός ἐστιν. What do we do? (moan of course)
  3. ὁ πόνος πολὺν σῖτον παρέχει. How do we feel? (we rejoice of course)
  4. ὁ πόνος ἐστιν ἀτέλεστος (ἀπέραντος) καὶ χαλεπός. How do we feel and what do we do? (tired, moan)
  5. κάμνομεν πολύ. So what do we do now? (rest of course)
  6. ὁ ἥλιος φλέγει καὶ κατατρίβει ἡμᾶς (=us). What do we do? (sit under a tree, in the shade, indoors.....)
  7. We are late. Do we σπεύδομεν ἢ βαδίζομεν βραδέως;
  8. We are Dikaiopolis and Xanthias and find πολλοὺς λίθους ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ. τί ποιοῦμεν;
  9. τί ποιοῦμεν with oxen? (drive them, attach them to ploughs, goad them)
  10. ὁ ἥλιος φλέγει. βλέπομεν πρὸς αὐτὁν; (you can, if you want to be blinded, I most certainly won't)
  11. τί ποιοῦμεν if we find an ἄροτρον on the dining-room table? I personally λαμβάνω αὐτὸ καὶ ἐκφέρω ἐκ τοῦ οἶκου εἰς τὸν κῆπον (the garden). Do you all not do more or less the same thing?
