τὸν μοχλόν, the bolt (acc. of ὁ μοχλός, τοῦ μοχλοῦ I'm afraid there's a mistake in the book, the stress is on the last syllable, not on the first as it says in the book and as I subsequently read it.)
διακόπτουσι, they cut through (δια-κόπτω, I cut through)
σῴζει εἰς ..., brings ... safely to ... (σῴζω, I save, keep safe, preserve)
περαίνει, she finishes. περαίνω, I bring to an end, finish, complete. Remember ἀπέραντος ὁ πόνος 'work is unending ( lesson 1a)
ἐκεῖνον, that (acc. masc. of ἐκεῖνος, ἐκείνη, ἐκεῖνο, that as opposed to this)
