When the ship was sailing steadily, the sailors, having stopped their work, were having a rest, and Dikaiopolis inspected the whole ship. The ship, which was carrying cargoes to the islands -for there was grain in it and wine and timber and flocks - was round(ed), not big nor fast but steady. Also in it were many people, rustic folk, who, after selling their goods (that they had been burdened with when coming to Athens) were returning home; while others were going to their relatives who were living on the islands. And all were enjoying sailing - for the wind was favourable and the sun [was] bright - and they either chatted with one another or sang songs.
