These neuter nouns in -ας look more irregular than they really are: They take the normal, basic 3rd declension endings. The genitive should be: τοῦ κρέασος (stem: κρεασ), but the σ disappeared. So now we get the normal contractions: α + ο as well as α + ω contract to ω , ![]() ![]() The regular dative singular ι usually becomes subscript, not αι but ᾳ . And α + α contract to long ᾱ, so the plural will be κρέᾱ. No circumflex, because the emphasis is still on the έ. No need for change! |
