Addendum
'Addendum' is Latin for 'having to be added', in other words: What went before isn't quite enough, we have to add some further explanation.
Greek letter γάμμα is sometimes pronounced like English n in finger, ink, anxiety.
When?

Before γ κ ξ χ ν changes to γ but is pronounced 'ng' like in ringer.

- σφί γξ the Sphinx in Egypt (mythological figure)
- ἐ γχώριος meaning 'inhabitant' and made up of:
ἐν meaning 'in' and
χωρίον meaning country, countryside, locale
