Present Indicative

Active Voice

1. -ω verbs
• Normal, uncontracted
• Contract -α verbs
• Contract -ε verbs
• Contract -ο verbs
   
2. -μι verbs:
   • -υμι: e.g to lose; to destroy ἀπόλλυμι
   • -ημι:
     • the -α- class: e.g. to fill πίμπλημι
       the -α- class: e.g. to make stand ἱστημι
     • the -ε- class: τίθημι
       the -ε- class: ἵημι
   • -ωμι. Only one verb: to give δίδωμι (and compounds of course)
      
3. Various irregularities:
   • The verb "to be" εἰμί
   • The verb "to say"  φημί
   • The verb "to know" οἶδα

Middle/Passive Voice

1. Regular -ω verbs
• Normal, uncontracted middle/passive voice
• Contract -α verbs
• Contract -ε verbs
• Contract -ο verbs
2. -μι verbs:
   • be lost, destroyed ἀπόλλυμαι
      
3. Some deponent verbes:
   • I can, am able (to do something): δύναμαι 
     I know (because I've learnt): ἐπίσταμαι
   • I lie (am positioned): κεῖμαι
